pfft, honestly I can't remember, I never used it extensively, and even then that was years ago, hell the codices have changed since I used this thing, I recall it having a few rules that made it a bit tricky to kill, and I think, as a monstrous creature, its main job was tank hunting. For me it was just a cool model to work with.

Well i imagine this thing would be total ********* to vehicles lol like one of those giant Tyranid tunneling worms but a lot stronger haha =P
the one question i have is. hmmm..

LOGICALLY if you look at the points of this thing which was in the low 200s and if you look at the size and stats, its comparable i think to a Wraith knight (not the warlord variant the standard version). I think. It might actually be close to Wraithlords i think Wraithknights were around 250 and i think wraith knight warlord was around 400 to 500  somthing like that i dont fully remember

ok so maybe its more comparable to a Wraith lord

if thats the case i am curious how well it stacks up you know?

Wraith lords are fairly good on their own but they need Wraithseers and spiritseers to be stupid broken haha and constantly healing, im curious how well the Stalker holds up. I am sure against vehicles u can just be stupid and pop up right next to a vehicle chew threw it and charge to the next one haha im just curious how it stacks up against like say infantry as a wraith lord would

well wraithknights are legal gargantuan creatures so nothing really compares to their filth (as well as the fact they weren't around when the stalker emerged (?)), so a wraithlord is a fairer comparison. Either way I'm not the guy to tell you, I haven't gamed extensively in years, and even then that was with tyranids (back when they didn't suck ass) and guard; I've always been more of a painter and collector. I probably got the stalker because I had this modelling idea in my head and was doing a necron army at the time (which didn't see much use either).

Hmmm fair enough
sorry i know you probably cant tell much >< its ironic like i see your point entirely. So many people in tabletop are complete jackasses. I even tried joking with my friend how in tabletop there are basically several types of people:
the raging asshole who has to be ontop of everything always shouting cursing yelling always having to brag about how great he is and will do anything to win
the know it all who can be nice but has to know everything always has to be a smart ass correcting you on everything and refuses to let anyone be smarter than them
and the nicest one the veteran who acts like the old sage keeping everyone together but are the rarest of those three

I mean typically most tabletop players are such assholes no matter where you go and its why i have so much problems with the game
the problem is Yes i love working on the models but they take a lot of time and a fortune. I dont mind doing the professional work on them but sadly i need gaming to keep me inspired. If i cant game with anyone then i tend to lose interest and may go for months without even touching my models

so its a sad trade really =\ people you game with can be a pain in the ass but i often need it to keep me inspired
i wish i didnt and could be more like u just working on models not needing any games

Ah but you see I'm actually much the same as you in that regard.

Let me tell you a quick story: a few years ago, just before the current nid codex came out (January 2014) I embarked upon my greatest tyranid army ever, in fact it was the best army I'd ever done, with homegrown scheme and background I truly loved (you can see the pics at Tyranids- Trial And Error); then boom, shit tyranid codex. Suddenly nothing worked, not waves of gaunt; not once mighty carnifex. I found out later that flying MC armies were filth, but that didn't satisfy my, I wanted the army done my way. Sure I could spend £40 odd on a set of carnifex, and I could spend 5 hours painting them, and they'd look great. Then what? At best they'd compete for space in my not considerable cabinet, or more likely get put in a box and never see the light of day again. Fuck that. So just like that, right in the middle of it all, I stopped. Haven't gone back to them since.

What have I done in the years since? A legion thousand sons army. Did that get finished? No. Because all my mates got their legion rules/units/primarchs long before I would, so I was at a disadvantage (also the rules for psychic powers changed and became shit, and it messed up my home grown rules). So, they died; over a grands worth of forge world effectively down the drain. Will I go back to them? No, because even when they get their rules, I'll just start them all from scratch (alas, I have that kind of disposable income).

Since them? A legion Imperial Fists army (need to put pics of them up), last year I cranked out one beautiful unit after another every week for 3 solid months. Did they get finished? You bet your ass they didn't, because shit was going down at my local GW and it looked like I wasn't going to be able to use them there; also, you just can't keep that kind of streak up for long, I had to plan every day of the week around painting, and I work 9-5 5 days a week, it was draining. Silver lining: a gaming club is being set up nearby, and so I'm now going back to painting what I didn't get finished, and am even planning future instalments. All because I have even a chance of actually using them.

So there you have it, my recent history of not doing hobby unless I have a gaming pay-off.

A note on gamers: I know what you mean, I've played and met real jackasses, over varying ages and for varying reasons. Me, I'm the casual kind of gamer that makes the promising, but not OP, fluff list; I'm driven to win, but don't mind losing so long as I don't get floored; I don't want to argue the technicality of rule for a whole hour, lets just role off or agree to disagree, and figure it out later. The trick really is to find people you're compatible with, people who think and play like you do; not rocket science of course, but not easy either.

Sorry for the wall of text, I just don't normally find myself so stimulated by internet conversation; I wish it happened more.

I cant stand and i find this to be 99% of all my games but i hate when it becomes an anal pissing contest and i feel like nearly every Warhammer game becomes that where its like: OH WELL IN THE RURES IT SAYS THAT.. OH WELL IN RURRES IT SAYS THAT WHAT YOU SAID IS NOT WHAT I SAID and it just becomes this fucking stupid ass dicking contest with people flipping through books endlessly trying to 1 Up each other and EUGH CHRIST
i cant stand people when it gets to that point

I mean ideally i just want to have some fun. I just want to play the game with someone who is a fair sport and I can have some fun regardless if i win or loose

Oh and there are many Warhammer fans that will cheat where basically if your not looking up every book religiously they will use that against you like

"Ok so whats your WS?"
"Oh ummm you know its uhh like 8!"
(says lying when its really 4)

I mean many Warhammer players will try to cheat if your not practically grabbing their books looking at it seeing if they are full of bullshit or not

so its why Warhammer can be extremely aggrivating but when you get some nice people its a lot of fun

i am very sorry to hear all that but dont know what your talking about

i've fought against Tyranids for years now and they are annoying as fuck. Last time i fought them i wanted to scream and rage quit at how nearlyevery single unit they have has multiple fuckign wounds which is the biggest load of bullshit ive ever seen in my life how there is nearly not a single unit in their army that doesn't have multiple wounds and they can spam them for dirt cheap i mean its such a load of shit that an army can spam multiple wound units that also are really damn strong and tough just to give an extra F U to anyone facing them
Oh and ive never fought the Harridon before but ive also heard that thing is one of the most terrifying flyers in the game next to Helldrakes and Necron fliers
so yeah in my opinion Tyranids and Dark Eldar are two of the most broken armies in the game

Necrons just recently became ungodly broke if you know how to set up the medic res formation with res orbs and crpyteks and then squads of 20 warriors each and lyguard kill units its just stupid and then u still got their flying circus haha

but yeah im sorry about that i just dont know from your perspective. Maybe they were bad in 4th eddition? but beyond that at least in the past years they have been stupidly OP

but Thousand Sons idk anything about i dont play Space Marines, I play generic Chaos but not like individual brands

I've gotta say, I'm a huge fan of FWs Tomb Stalker model, and this is by far the most entertaining one that I've seen (Aside from an Armies on Parade where the guy had them climbing ruins...)
It reminds me of the Lictor image from the 3rd ed Tyranid book, just replace the hiding guardsmen with a stubborn Spess Mehreen and the Lictor with an awesome mechanical Centipede that brings swift death to squishy small eldar squads (Dem Dark reapers are tasty)

i think he made it quite explicit that was the case, the idea being that the silent king, the acting necron commander, hated the nids more than any other race, enough to ally with the living if necessary
